Just a few months ago we reported that Joie de Vivre’s first East Coast hotel would be opening in Miami and my how time flies–reservations are now open for The Hall South Beach starting on October 1.
Rates begin at $ 188 a night for a deluxe room with a full bed. If you’re planning on visiting Miami with a close friend or lover, you’ll want a deluxe room with a queen bed instead. Those rooms are roughly the same size as the full rooms, but with a slightly bigger bed.
Deluxe rooms with king beds start around $ 200 a night while a room with two queen beds is $ 220. Rooms with views of the pool are close to $ 300 a night. (Since the hotel sits on the opposite side of Collins from the beach, there aren’t any ocean views.)
There’s also a $ 20 resort fee per night that’s added to your rate, along with taxes, making a three-night stay in deluxe queen room around $ 700 total.
The hotel was designed by Robert McKinley who was inspired by the beach culture of Miami in the 60s. This is most obvious in the 164 guestrooms which feature mint green furniture and tropical orange touches.
Jonathan Adler, who embraces a similar peppy and bright-colored approach will do the bath toiletries while the rest of the rooms will have complimentary WiFi, 42-inch high def TVs, and Soundfreaq Bluetooth speakers. Also complimentary morning coffee and tea, and two beach chairs and a beach bag are included with the resort fee.
Elsewhere at the hotel, there will be an F&B concept from “Top Chef” alum, Spike Mendelsohn, called Sunny’s, which will also do “in-room picnic” deliveries; a 5,000-sq.ft. backyard playground called Campton Yard which will serve lunch and dinner; and an oversized pool.
In short, it sounds like a super fun place to chill in what is typically a very “sceney” stretch of South Beach.
